The Sanctuary Choir leads and inspires our congregation in worship. Our repertoire includes fine classical sacred works and contemporary musical expressions. Being part of the choir requires commitment, discipline, and hard work but as we learn, grow, and serve, we have a great deal of fun and a deep sense of fulfillment. Please join us! The choir sings every Sunday, at the 11:00 a.m. service and in the Bethany Covenant Music Series throughout the year. Choir is open to everyone age 16 or more who has some musical experience. The ability to read music is preferred but not required. We welcome new singers in every part!
Rehearsals: Thursday evenings, from 7:30 - 9:00 p.m. Sept.– June.

NEW SONG, NEW MEMBERS, NEW LIFE! Sanctuary Choir for the 2007-2008 Season!
Here is how it works: The choir season is divided into four time periods. You can sign-up to rehearse and to sing in the choir for all or just one of the following segments: September 9th - October 28th November 4th - December 30th January 6th - March 23rd 2008 (Easter Sunday) March 30th - June 22nd 2008
Please consider making a shorter term commitment to sing for 8-12 weeks during that time of the year that would work better for you personally. Come and join us, sing some great music to the Lord weekly in church, enjoy meeting new friends and experience worshiping through music!
This fall we are reorganizing the Sanctuary Choir in a new way so that people can commit and enjoy singing in the choir without making a whole year commitment!
Bethany Chorale
The Bethany Chorale is a brand new choral group for singers who have a passion, skill, and desire to perform great classical and contemporary choral music but who are not able to make a weekly commitment.
The Chorale will sing periodically at the 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. services and in concerts and special events throughout the year. You may join if you are age 16 or more, can read music, and can learn your part independently so that you can come to rehearsal prepared to sing.
Rehearsals: Every other Thursday from 6:00 to 7:15 p.m.
Handbell Choir
The Handbell Choir consists of approximately ten ringers, a core of whom return each year. The choir plays once a month, usually at the 11:00 a.m. service from October through December and from February through May.
You may join this group if you can read music, have the physical ability and coordination to ring bells, and are willing to make a firm commitment to be present at rehearsals. This is a unique and joyful way to serve the Lord.
Rehearsals are every Thursday from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m.
Jubilate Bells
Jubilate Bells began in 2005 as a way to include more people in handbell ringing. This group is open to children age ten and up, as well as adults. Some musical knowledge is desired and children should be taking or have some musical training. Enthusiasm, physical coordination, and regular attendance at rehearsals is required. Jubilate Bells plays approximately four to six times each year.
Rehearsals are Wednesdays from 7:15 to 8:00 p.m.

Messengers of God
Messengers of God is a youth choir for children Grades 3 through 7 designed to help children learn and share God’s message of love through song and movement. Messengers of God participates in worship once a month, and participates in the Bethany Covenant Music Series throughout the year.
Rehearsals: Mondays 5:30-6:15 p.m. Sept. through May.
The Cherub Choir is a children’s choir for ages four to second grade. The goal of this group is to teach our youngest children the joy of praising God through song. The Cherubs participate monthly in the 11:00 a.m. worship and during the Christmas and Easter services.
Rehersals: Monday evenings 5:30-6:15 p.m September through May.

Act of Praise
Act of Praise is the vocal and instrumental contemporary music group that leads worship at the 8:30 a.m. service and occasionally at 11:00 a.m. We welcome high school students and adults who desire to praise God through contemporary music. We are looking for both male and female vocalists, guitarists and a bass guitarist to join our ensemble of keyboard, drums and guitar.
Rehearsals are Mondays from 6:15-7:45 p.m.

Bethany Brass
Bethany Brass is a brass ensemble, presently consisting of trumpets and trombones. The group does not have a set rehearsal schedule but participates regularly in worship services, special events and concerts throughout the year.

SALT Band (Students Actively Living the Truth)
The SALT Band is a contemporary Christian musical group for high school aged students, which leads worship both at Bethany and at wider youth events and retreats. The mission of this group is to help others praise God, to strengthen their own relationship with the Lord through worship, and to share God’s love through music.
This group is for both experienced and inexperienced musicians. Students who are learning an instrument or who have an interest in multi-media are welcome. A strong commitment to the rehearsal schedule is important.
The band rehearses every Sunday from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m.
