Drama is a unique and ancient form of the Gospel proclamation. Over the years, our congregation has been touched and moved to both tears and laughter by poignant visualizations of the gospel message.
The Drama Team meets monthly to prepare for Sunday morning worship sketches. Participation is open to adults and young people, high school age and up. We also stage major productions every year.

Two different, yet complimentary people meet and discover they have something in common: the conviction that life is a gift. A famous Oxford professor and writer who lives a somewhat cloistered life in 1953 England, encounters an American writer-poet who shows him how to become a part of the world in a touching way that makes the beautiful imagery of his famous writings (e.g., The Chronicles of Narnia) become manifest. They marry, but then, she dies. What does this do to his faith? Bethany Covenant Drama presents William Nicholson’s award-winning drama, Shadowlands, the moving true story of love, joy, and grief in the lives of Christian theologian and author, C.S. Lewis, and his American poet wife, Joy Davidman Gresham. This thought-provoking play depicts a powerful, post-Easter message of God’s faithful love and care for a broken world. (You may also recall the 1994 motion picture based on this play, directed by Richard Attenborough and starring Anthony Hopkins & Debra Winger.) Bethany Covenant Drama invites you to attend any one of the five performances over two weekends in April: 4/20, 4/21, 4/27 and 4/28 - 7:30pm; and 4/29 - 3:00pm.Tickets are $15/Adults and $10/Seniors and Students.
