Children's Ministry
The purpose of the Children's Ministry Program is to provide a safe and caring environment for Infants through Elementary school-aged children. Our goal is to help children learn about the Christian faith and grow in their knowledge of and relationship with Jesus Christ. We strive to present opportunities to build fun and faith filled lasting friendships and opportunities for service in the church, community and around the world.

Children's Church
During our two Sunday Morning Worship services (8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.), children ages 5-8 years old are dismissed from Sanctuary Worship to their own energizing kids' worship called "Children's Church" on the lower level. Here the children participate in songs, Bible message, activity sheets each week, and if time permits, a group game together. Children are escorted back to the Sanctuary to rejoin their families during the last hymn. Children's Church leaders are volunteers from the congregation.
Enrichment Activities
At special times throughout the year, enrichment activities are offered to our children.
Examples of these activities include:
- Lego Club;
- Seasonal Arts & Crafts Club on Monday Nights;
- February Fundays School Vacation;
- Mime Workshops and Performances;
- Homeschool Science Enrichment classes;
- Faith and Family Day at the Rock Cats Baseball Stadium;
- And other fun experiences together!
Visit our website often to view upcoming events that your children may participate in.
Sunday School
|
Sunday School teaching is introduced beginning at our Toddler Age with age-appropriate activities ,curriculum, Bible stories and scripture memory verses. We utilize the Pioneer Club "Scooter" curriculum each Sunday Morning for our Toddlers, engaging them in thematic activities reinforcing God's creation. |
| Each week, children ages 4 through 4th grade are treated to Sunday School from 9:45 - 10:00 a.m. with curriculum; "Hands-On Bible" from Group, Inc. which employs and serves a variety of learning styles - auditory, tactile, visual, and the like. A Bible Point is emphasized throughout the daily lesson in addition to being reinforced through discussions at home over the take home material. Our goal is to get the family talking to each other about what they learned in church that morning, and how they can each apply it to their lives. |
Students in 5th and 6th grade may participate in a newly formed group called The Bridge that seeks to provide a transitional educational experience for students transitioning from elementary to middle school education. Curriculum utilized is "Grapple" by Group, Inc. which introduces a variety of tools to keep young students engaged, along with an optional moderated class online discussion board, to be used by permission and at the discretion of the parent. This class enjoys an open dialogue in which to explore God's word through open and honest discussions in an open and caring environment guided by the Word of God.
